SVG editor
Open an SVG and change it here, in the browser — move and resize shapes, recolour them, draw new ones, edit the text, then export. Free, no sign-up, and the file never leaves your machine unless you ask it to.
Opens full screen, in this tab.
Open the editorDrop an SVG, PNG, JPG or WEBP hereor choose a fileAn SVG opens in the editor as it is. A PNG, JPG or WEBP is traced to vector first — that one image is sent to our Convert to SVG model and uses one of your 10 free conversions a day; you are asked before it happens.
Runs in your browser; an SVG is never uploaded. Opening a PNG, JPG or WEBP traces it through our Convert to SVG model and uses one of your 10 free conversions a day.
How the editor works
- Open a fileDrop an SVG, PNG, JPG or WEBP here or open one from inside the editor. A PNG, JPG or WEBP is traced to vector first, which sends that one image to our model.
- Select, recolour, redrawClick a shape to move, resize or rotate it; the bucket and eyedropper recolour it; Reduce colours cuts a busy palette down; the pen and node tools reshape a path; the text tool edits or adds type.
- ExportDownload the SVG, a PNG, JPEG or WebP at 1×, 2× or 4×, or copy the source. Save writes back to the original file in browsers that allow it.
Questions about the SVG editor
No. The editor runs entirely in your browser; the file is parsed and edited on your machine and never sent to a server. The one exception is opening a PNG, JPG or WEBP, which sends that image to our vectorising model to be traced — you are told before it happens.
One of your 10 free Convert to SVG runs per day. The allowance is shared with the Convert to SVG tool. When it is used up the editor tells you when it resets and leaves your open document untouched.
Fill, stroke, opacity, gradients and patterns, blur, markers, position, size and rotation of any shape; the nodes and handles of any path; text content and font; layers, groups and stacking order; the document's size and viewBox. There is undo and redo for every step.
Yes. Rectangle, ellipse, circle, line, polygon, star, freehand pencil, pen paths, text and placed images, with snap to grid and rulers.
SVG (the edited source), PNG, JPEG and WebP at 1×, 2× or 4×, or the SVG source copied to the clipboard.
A file up to about 5 MB is kept in this tab's session storage, so a refresh reopens it. Larger files open but the editor tells you they will not survive a refresh; nothing is kept once the tab closes.
One file is free. Four hundred, on brand, in every size, is what we do.
