CR2 to JPG converter

CR2 is what Canon DSLRs wrote for over a decade, and it opens almost nowhere outside photo software. This lifts the full-size JPEG Canon stored inside the file and converts it, entirely in your browser.

JPG has no transparency, so transparent areas become white.

Converted files don’t keep EXIF or color profile data.

Accepts .cr2 files.

Runs in your browser. Your files never leave your device.

How to convert a CR2

  1. Add your CR2 filesDrag them onto the panel or browse for them. A card's worth of CR2 files is a lot of data, and all of it is read locally.
  2. Choose an output formatJPG for something you can email or upload immediately, PNG for a lossless copy of the extracted image, WebP when size matters most.
  3. Convert and downloadEach CR2's embedded JPEG is extracted and re-encoded. A single file saves directly; several arrive as one ZIP with the size saved shown.

Questions about converting CR2

No, and it does not claim to. Canon writes a full-size JPEG into every CR2 alongside the sensor data; this tool extracts that JPEG and converts it to the format you pick. That is why it is instant and why nothing needs uploading. If you want to actually develop the raw file — your own white balance, highlight recovery, lens corrections — use Canon's Digital Photo Professional, Lightroom, or darktable.

One file is free. Four hundred, on brand, in every size, is what we do.
